Stanford Avenue Methodist Church
Sunday services at 10.30 am and 6.30 pm
The style of our services varies, depending partly on who is leading worship and if there is a special day being celebrated in the church calendar. One thing that all Sunday services have in common is lot of hymn singing - this is an important part of the Methodist tradition. Don’t worry if you can’t sing well (you won’t be alone!)
Some services include ‘Holy Communion’, where the last part of the service is set aside for this sacred ceremony. All are welcome to take part, even if this is your first time in a church. Don’t worry, however, if you are attending the service but don’t want to take part in this section - you are welcome to sit this part out without fear of embarrassment.

We also have Holy Communion as part of a short said service (i.e. without hymns) every Wednesday at 11.00 am.

What’s on
In addition to our services, we have a variety of groups that meet regularly at the church. Please see other pages on this website for further details of these and other groups.
